REGULATIONS FOR USE OF THE LIBRARY'S PREMISES



Use

Bags, coats etc. should be deposited in the cloakroom at the entrance.

Mobile phones may not be used in the public areas.

It is permitted to bring one's own laptop with one.

A 220 v outlet is located by the catalogue tables in the Book Collection.

No ice cream, confectionery, food or drink may be brought into the public areas.

Any private conversation must be conducted in low voices.

Children are welcome to visit the Library if accompanied by an adult, though they are not allowed to disturb other library users.

Prams are not to be brought into the library areas: they should be left outside.

Library staff reserves the right to search bags or cases if these have been brought into the public areas.



Use of computers

Pc's may only be used for research, study and knowledge retrieval within the subject areas covered by the Danish National Art Library.

Use of email must be academically related.
To ensure that the pc's are not used for irrelevant purposes, library personnel have the right, when in any doubt, to satisfy themselves that they are being used appropriately.

It is not permitted to use the pc's to chat, play games or indulge in other forms of entertainment. The Library reserves the right to keep an electronic log to check that the pc's are being used appropriately.

The Danish National Art Library has the right to limit the individual visitor's use of the Library's equipment: this includes downloading and printing from pc's and similar activity.

It is forbidden to change the operating systems on the pc's or the setup of internet computers or similar equipment. It is forbidden to connect up equipment of any kind brought in from outside.



Being asked to leave, or exclusion

All visitors are obliged to conduct themselves in accordance with the Library's regulations and also in compliance with instructions from the personnel. Failure to abide by these conditions may lead to being requested to leave and subsequently being excluded from the Danish National Art Library.



Complaints

Any complaints about decisions made by the personnel of the Danish National Art Library should be submitted in writing to the institution's director.
