Danish Golden Age Art - a picture database
Golden Age Art includes ca. 4000 pictures after works by Danish painters and sculptors from the beginning of the 19th century. This features professor and painter C.W. Eckersberg, his contemporary fellow artists and the first group of his students from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. The collection was digitized by the Danish Art Library's Art Historical Picture Archive as a part of the Ministry of Culture's Kulturprojekt Danmark 1997 and supplemented in 2002. The image database here shows a small part of the archive's large Danish and foreign collections. To be more precise it is all the archive's photographs and clippings dealing with all the Danish artists born between 1783 and 1807 that have been digitized: there are works by 83 artists in all.
